Syksyn myötä linnut alkavat jälleen liikkua kohti etelää. Varsinki
kahlaajamuutto alkaa saavuttaa huippunsa ja petolinnutkin ovat
liikkeellä. Suuntaamme sunnuntaina 7.9. Espoon Laajalahdelle
katselemaan muuttoa ja fiilistelemään syksyn tuloa. Katselemme ja
kuuntelemme lintuja matkan varrella omaan tahtiimme. Mitään
aikaisempaa kokemusta ei tarvitse olla, opastan parhaani mukaan
tunnistuksessa. Mukaan saa tietenkin tulla vain kävelemään ja
nauttimaan kaupunkiluonnosta.

Lähtö tapahtuu 7.9. klo. 8.00 Otaniemestä Konemiehentien ja
Puumiehenkujan risteyksestä. Olemme aluksi nk. Maarin tornilla, josta
parin tunnin jälkeen lähdemme kävelemään kohti Villa Elfvikkiä. Matka
on melko pitkä, mutta antoisa. Mitään tarkkaa lopetusaikaa ei ole,
kukin saa tulla ja lähteä oman mielensä mukaan. Jos haluat liittyä
mukaan myöhemmin voit soittaa 050-3319886.

Ota mukaan:
- Tarpeeksi lämmintä vaatetta, lahdella voi tuulla kovaa. Teillä voi
olla vettä ja mutaa, joten hyvät kengät ovat paikallaan.
- Omat kiikarit ja lintukirja. Voit ilmoittaa minulle, jos haluaisit
lainata niitä, niin yritän järjestää jotain.
- Omat eväät ja juomaa. Kauppoja tai kuppiloita ei ole kovinkaan
lähellä, joten evästämme ehkä jossain sopivassa paikassa.

The Autumn is coming and the birds are starting to move out of its
way. Because of that Hydepakki organizes on Sunday 7th of September a
bird watching trip to Laajalahti in Espoo. No earlier experience of
birdwatching is needed, I will try to help you as best as I can with
the identifications. You can of course also just participate in the
walk and ignore the birds :)

The start is in Otaniemi (part of Espoo) on Sunday 7.9. at 8.00 AM. We
start from the crossroad between the roads Konemiehentie and
Puumiehenkuja. We'll be first a few hours in the so called Maari-tower
and then walk to Villa Elfvik. The way is quite long, but the terrain
is pretty easy. You can come later too, in which case you
can call me in the number 050-3319886 and ask me where we are. There
is no specific end for the trip, everybody comes and goes as they wish.

Take with you:
- Enough warm clothes, the wind can be hard on the bay. There might
also be water and mud on the roads, so good shoes are a must.
- Binoculars and a birdbook if you have. If you would like to loan
these, then contact me, and I will see if I can fix something.
- Your own food/snacks and drink. There are no shops or coffeehouses
nearby, so we'll probably have a simple picnic at some point.
