Telttaretki/elokuvailta Bodominjärvellä

Miltä kuulostaisi jännittävä telttayö metsässä? Tule ensi viikon perjantaina/lauantaina (9.-10.6.) Bodominjärvelle kokemaan kesäöistä hyytävin!

Tämän retken erikoisuutena on nimittäin se, että katsomme yöllä samaisen järven kuuluisista murhatapauksista kertovan Bodom-elokuvan.

Tapaamme perjantaina 9.6. Espoon keskuksen rautatieaseman bussilaiturilla 20 klo 18:45. Oittaan leirintäalueelle saavuttuamme nautimme päivällistä nuotion äärellä yötä odotellessamme. Me hommaamme paikalle pääruoan ja välipalaa, mutta tuo mukanasi kaikenlaiset elokuvanaposteltavat, joita haluat popsia itse tai vaikka jakaa muidenkin kanssa.

Yön yli selvittyämme luvassa on aamupalaa, ja miksei myös käveleskelyä tai uimista. Suunnitelmana olisi palata Espoon keskukseen noin klo 13, mutta tarvittaessa voit toki lähteä aiemminkin jos aikataulut painavat päälle.

Mukaan tarvitset makuupussin ja makuualustan. Sää lienee lämmin, mutta nappaa mukaan pyyhe sekä lämmintä ja sateenpitävää vaatetusta.

Ilmoittaudu retkelle viimeistään ensi viikon keskiviikkona (7.6.) lähettämällä minulle sähköpostitse nimesi ja tiedot erityisruokavalioistasi. Kerro myös jos tarvitset makuupussin tai -alustan lainaan.

Lake Bodom Camping/Movie night

Looking for a scary evening camping in the forest? Join us next week's Friday/Starurday (9-10th June) for a chill summer night by Lake Bodom!

What is especial about this camping trip is that at night we will be watching the movie "Lake Bodom", a finish film which is partially based on a true story of the murder of a group of campers in the same lake Bodom.

We will meet on Friday 9th at Espoo train station platform 20 at 18:45 to wait for the bus together. Upon arrival in the Oittaa camping site, we will have a relaxing dinner at the campfire while we wait for the night to come. We will take care of the main food and a few snacks, but bring any other thing you would want to eat/share during the movie!

After surviving our night, we will enjoy an easy morning, breakfast and perhaps a walk or a good swim by the lake. We plan to be back in Espoo train station at around 13, but it is always possible to leave a bit earlier if you need to.

You will need a sleeping bag and a sleeping mattress. The weather should be pretty warm, but remember to take with you a towel and some extra warm and waterproof clothes.

Sign up for the trip no later than next week's Wednesday (7th of June) by sending me an email with your name and any dietary preferences. Also let me know if you need a sleeping bag or mattress since we have a few you can borrow.

The cost of the trip will be of 8 euros which should be payed to Hyde's bank account preferably before the trip:

Maalla ja metsässä on liikuskeltu jo oikein urheasti, joten vähitellen on aika siirtää katseet kohti ulappaa ja merkata kalenteriin Hydepakin Juhannusmelonta, joka on tänä vuonna 22-25.6 Lohjalla.

Ilmoittautuminen on auki 21.5. klo 23.59 saakka, johon saakka ilmoittautumistaan voi myös muokata ja perua.

Menemme siis Lohjalle jossa melomme Lohjanjärvellä ja mahdollisesti lähiseutujen jokien varsilla alkaen torstai illasta aina sunnuntai iltapäivään saakka. Matkan varrella yövymme, juttelemme mukavia ja syömme hyvin, kanssamelojien reittiehdotuksia kuunnellaan ja matka taitetaan pienryhmissä mukavan vauhdin saavuttamiseksi. Retken alkuun siirryttäneen jonkinlaisella autoletkalla, katsotaan miten saadaan osallistujilta/järjestäjiltä autoja lainaan, vaihtoehtona että valloitetaan joku bussi sinnepäin.

Retkeen kuuluu myös vapaaehtoinen ennakkomiitti touko-kesäkuun vaihteessa, jossa käydään läpi reitti ja ryhmittymistoiveita.

Matkan hinta on ilman tukia noin 100€ (kanoottivuokra 4pv 45-90€/person) , jaetaan kustannukset melojien kesken lamppttityyppi huomioiden. Haemme Espoon kaupungilta tukea retkelle, jolloin retkimaksu toivottavasti laskee huomattavasti. Some kind of a pretrip

Hullo!

We have tested that our feet carry us nicely on ground and forest so now it's time to change our pace and reserve places for Hydepakkis Midsummer Paddling, which this year is 22-25.6 at Lohja

Here is the sign-up-link for our glorious trip

The sign-up will close at 23.59 on 21.5 and you may edit your sign-up (or cancel it)  while the sign-up is open.

We will go to Lohja and paddle on lake Lohja and the nearby rivers from thursday evening all the way til sunday afternoon. During the trip we'll sleep nicely in the wild, eat well and have great conversations on our breaks. Everybody will be heard to and if we get enough participants we'll split into smaller teams according to paddlespeed. We'll travel to and fro Lohja area either by a cartrain if we find enough participants who can find a car for the weekend or we'll capture a bus that goes in the general direction.
Additionally there will be a pretrip meeting at around may-june change where we'll discuss the route and the wishes for paddleteams.

The trip will cost around 100€ (the kayaks for the trip are 45-90€/person) without support, we'll split the bill according to which paddlable you choose. We are also asking Espoo city for some support so the trip might get a lot cheaper.

Herkullinen vappupäivä tiedossa! Hydepakki suuntaa maanantaina 1.5. vappupiknikille Kaivopuiston Ullanlinnanmäelle, ja mukaan napataan totta kai trangiat. Näiden erähenkisten retkivekottimien avulla paistamme paikan päällä munkeista maukkaimmat, ja näin toivotamme kevään tervetulleeksi iloisesti mussutellen.

Kaivarissa on maanantaina kaksijalkainen jos toinenkin, joten yleisen haahuilun välttämiseksi teemme yhteislähdön Rautatieaseman palloukoilta klo 10. Jos kuitenkin tulet moikkaamaan meitä vasta myöhemmin päivällä, soita minulle numeroon 050 4112 691, jotta löydät poppoomme puistosta.

Hehey!

A delicious 1st of May coming up! Hydepakki is heading to Ullanlinnanmäki in Kaivopuisto on Monday 1st of May for a picnic, and we'll naturally bring our trangias with us. With the help of these outdoorsy appliances we'll bake some tasty donuts, and so welcome the spring by happily stuffing our bellies full.

There'll be more than a few people in Kaivopuisto on Monday, so to avoid needless wandering around we'll meet up in front of the main entrance of Helsinki's main railway station at 10. But if you decide to come and say hello to us later in the day, you can call me at 050 4112 691 in order to find us in the park.

Take with you something to sit on, as well as maybe even some delicious food you can share with others. See you on May 1!

Tiedossa jahdin hurmaa ja ilmaista suklaata!

Pääsiäispupu, tuo jänöjusseista ovelin, on piilottanut Helsingin Keskuspuiston metsiin herkullisia suklaamunia. Aina valmis Hydepakki on kuitenkin onnistunut jäljittämään pupusen liikkeitä ja piirtämään piilotetut herkut kartalle, joten nyt on ainutkertainen tilaisuus etsiä pääsiäismunat kätköistään ja popsia ne parempiin suihin.

Hydepakin verraton pääsiäismunajahti käynnistyy tiistaina 11.4. klo 17.30 Huopalahden aseman alikulusta Eliel Saarisen tieltä.  Ilmoittautumista tai kummempaa kartanlukutaitoa ei tarvita, vain tahtoa löytää kätketyt aarteet ja rentoutua jahdin jälkeen porukalla lämpimän juoman äärellä.

Nappaa mukaan lämpöisen vaatetuksen lisäksi otsalamppu ja kompassi, jos sellaiset löytyvät. Ja sitten vain pääsiäismunajahtiin!

A thrilling hunt for free chocolate!

The Easter Bunny, the most cunning of all bunny rabbits, has hidden delicious chocolate eggs in Helsinki's Central Park. However, the ever-prepared Hydepakki has been able to track the hare's movements and draw a map of the hidden delicacies, so here's a one-time-only chance to find and eat those Easter eggs yourself!

Hydepakki's magnificent Easter egg hunt begins at Huopalahti railway station (on Eliel Saarisen tie) on Tuesday 11.4. at 17.30. No registration or expert map reading skills are required, only the will to find the hidden sweets and relax after the hunt by a warm drink.

Apart from warm clothing, bring with you a headlamp and a compass if you have them. But without further ado, let's go hunt some Easter eggs!

Käytännön syistä huivit tehdään Annikalla Pohjois-Tapiolassa (Helsingistä bussit 103, 106, 109, 110; Otaniemestä kävellen tai huonosti busseilla 10 tai 15). Teepakin huivi: Teepakki on ostanut valmiiksi sinisiä partiohuiveja, joihin ommellaan Teepakin haalarimerkki nurkkaan (kuva: https://fi.scoutwiki.org/Teepakki). Huivin (7 €) ja merkin (2 €) voi siis ostaa tapahtumassa, ja ommella ne yhteen.

Jos sinulla on jo huivi tai et halua tehdä sellaista, olet tervetullut paikalle neuvomaan muita, hengaamaan yleisesti ja pelaamaan lautapelejä, tai tekemään muita käsitöitä tms. Ompelukone löytyy huivien ompeluun, ja sitä saa käyttää muuhunkin. Kauppa löytyy kilometrin päästä, mikrossa tai uunissa voi lämmittää ruokaa ja pizzaa voidaan tilata, mutta muuten keittiö on värien vallassa :)

You can arrive any time between 15 and 19. When your scarf is ready, you can stay to help others or play board games.

Hyde scarf: Make a Hyde scarf (or neckerchief, see picture https://fi.scoutwiki.org/HYDE) by printing the patterns with a "template" and then sew it into a scarf. Hyde provides cloth and colors.

Teepakki scarf: Teepakki has bought ready blue scout scarfs. To the corner of the scarf you have to sew Teepakki's badge, see picture (https://fi.scoutwiki.org/Teepakki). You can buy the scarf (7 €) and the badge (2 €) at this event.

If you already have a scarf or you don't want to make one, you can still come to give advise to others, just hang around, play board games or whatever. There's a sewing machine for making the scarfs  (can be used for other purposes too if need be). There's a shop 1 km away, a microwave oven and oven for heating food and it's possible to order pizza, but otherwise the kitchen will be full of scarf-making equipment :) Welcome!

Hei,

Tervetuloa Hyden ja Teepakin kämppäretkelle 31.3. - 2.4. Pirttimäkeen Nuuksion kansallispuiston tuntumaan. Homman nimenä on viettää viikonloppu vuokraamallamme partiokämpällä lähimaastossa vaellellen, nuotiolla istuskellen ja totta kai saunoen. Mukaan kannattaa tulla vaikkei olisi aiemmin retkillemme osallistunutkaan -- kämppäretkestä ei juuri viikonloppu parane.

Matka alkaa perjantai-iltana klo 17.40 Espoon keskuksesta, ja paluu tapahtuu sunnuntaina iltapäivällä. Mukaan voi tulla myös vain osaksi aikaa esimerkiksi päiväretkelle tai vain yhdeksi yöksi.

Kämppänä toimii Pitkäjärven Vaeltajien Kammi. Kämppään voidaan majoittaa noin 30 ihmistä, joten mukaan kyllä mahtuu.

Hyde maksaa kämpän vuokran omasta pussistaan, joten osallistujille jää maksettavaksi vain ruokakulut. Hintaa reissulle tulee siis noin 10-15 euroa per osallistuja, ja lasku lähetetään jälkikäteen kunhan ruokakulujen suuruus on selvinnyt.

Hi,

Welcome to Hyde and Teepakki's cottage trip near Nuuksio national park from March 31 to April 2. We've rented a scout cabin for that weekend, so now the name of the game is to spend the weekend hiking, sitting around a campfire and, this being Finland, going to sauna. You're more than welcome even if you've never been to our events before -- a cottage trip is a fantastic way to spend a weekend.

The trip begins in Espoo center on Friday at 17.40, and we'll return on Sunday afternoon. You can also join in just for a day or two instead of the whole weekend.

The cottage can house 30 people, so there's plenty of room. More info on the cottage is available here, but it's all in Finnish.

Hyde will take care of the rent, so the participants only need to pay for the food. The total cost for each participant will be about 10-15 euros depending on the exact food expenses -- we'll send the bill afterwards.

I'll send an email to everyone who's signed up a few days before the weekend. The email will include more info on the weekend's schedule and the equipment you'll need, but basically you'll need a sleeping bag, warm and weather-resistant clothing and good shoes (rubber boots or hiking shoes). Hyde will buy all the food, and since this event is alcohol-free (like all our events), you don't need to worry about anything related to food or drink -- apart from taking your own water bottle.

Vaellusjalka alkoi vipattamaan; vajaan parin viikon päästä perjantaina 10.3 kello 17.45 lähtee vaellusryhmittymä metsään bussilla Elielinaukiolta.

Kriittisenä osana vaellusta on myös lisäleegio, joka liittyy etujoukkoihin lauantaina 11.3 aamupäivästä, lähtien  Elielinaukiolta kello 9.45.

Vaelluksen alkuosalla vaellamme lyhyehkön matkan ja yövymme teltassa, tapaamme lisäleegion ja jatkamme yhdessä.

Kaikkien saavuttua metsään vaellamme Nuuksion kauniissa luonnossa, syömme lounasta, välipalaa ja päivällistä, kunnes saavumme lopulta bussilla Espoon asemalle klo 19.54

Retken hinta on 5€ vain lauantailta ja 7€ koko retkeltä, hinta sisältää ruoat, teepakin tai hyden jäsenyys vaaditaan jos haluaa yöpyä.

Retkelle ilmoittaudutaan sähköpostilla osoitteeseen alpi.jokinen@aalto.fi, osallistumismaksu tulee maksaa ennen retkeä teepakin tilille FI31 6601 0003 2436 64, viestinä "oma nimi, kevättalviretken osallistumismaksu"  , viimeistään torstaina 9.3, jos ongelmia, ota yhteyttä.

Tlwr. JOIN THE HIKE (10.-)11.3.

So, for the more sophisticated people, there will be a hydepakki organized hike that has an earlystart at Elielinaukio on Friday 10.3. at 17.45 for those who want to stay overnight in the woods.

The maingroups start will be from the same Elielinaukio on saturday 11.3. at 9.45.

After everyone has arrived in Nuuksio we'll continue the hike the earlybirds started and walk around the wonderful woods of Nuuuksio, we'll return to civilization, Espoo station, at 19.54 saturday evening.

The trip costs 5€ for only sat and 7€ for the whole trip, the trip fee will be used to cover foods for the trip. If you want to stay overnight, you have to be a member of Hyde or Teepakki.

You register to the trip by emailing me, alpi.jokinen@aalto.fi. The tripfee must be paid by 9.3, preferably to the teepakki bank account BIC: AABAFI22 and IBAN: FI31 6601 0003 2436 64, write into the messagefield "Own name, tripfee for latewinterhike", if you encounter problems, take contact.
